Last year’s event sponsored by Davidson Hearing Aid Centres was such a success that they plan to do it again. This time, the event will be spread out over 2 days on Sept 10 and 11, and held in a larger conference room. Sept. 17 CHHA-NCR Oktoberfest BBQ/Fundraiser

On Friday, September 17 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., CHHA NCR is hosting a BBQ in the parking lot of it's headquarters at 2515 Holly Lane. This event is a fundraiser and awareness raiser for the Walk2Hear event for CHHA-NCR and CHHA National. $5.00 will buy anyone a filling lunch on September 17. Hard Of Hearing And Deafened Requests Access To City Facilities

Ottawa – The National Capital Region Branch of the Canadian Hard of Hearing Association is requesting mayoral candidates take a stand on providing access to the municipalities 600 public facilities. Only one of the facilities is presently accessible to hard of hearing citizens though the use of an FM system. This means that every time a public facility is used for public and community meetings, hearing aid users are left to fend for themselves as best they can.
